LEADERSHIP
Julia Hamm has been at the center of the energy transition for 25 years. She has spent her career advising and collaborating on resilience, grid modernization and digitization, electrification and clean energy strategies and programs. She is currently a partner at The Ad Hoc Group where she advises climate tech companies, including many in the resilience sector, and she is a board member of Puget Sound Energy and Voltera. From 2004 through 2022,
Julia served as president and CEO of the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA). As a member of the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority’s Transformation Advisory Council, she advised the PREPA board of directors on the rebuilding of the electric system post Hurricane Maria from 2017 through 2019. She is the founder of North America's largest energy industry trade show, RE+, which attracts more than 40,000 people from around the world every year.
Scott Clavenna is the co-founder and CEO of Latitude Media, where he is leading its strategy in news, industry research, and events on the frontiers of climate technology. Most recently, Scott served as Chairman of Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables, where he contributed to the strategic guidance of Wood Mackenzie’s work in the global energy transition. Prior to Wood Mackenzie, Scott was the co-founder and CEO of Greentech Media and helped develop it into the leading
source of integrated news, industry research, conferences, and executive councils in the clean energy economy. From 2007 to 2020, Scott oversaw the development and launch of five industry-leading conferences, including the annual Solar Summit, Grid Edge Innovation Summit, Energy Storage Summit, Power & Renewables Summit, and the U.S. Solar Market Insight event series in partnership with SEIA.
Stephen Lacey is the co-founder and executive editor of Latitude Media and the co-host of Open Circuit, a show that decodes the energy transition. He helps shape editorial coverage, live events, and creative partnerships at Latitude. He’s a veteran journalist, editor, and producer who’s been running news teams and making audio programming about the clean energy transition for nearly two decades. Stephen has covered a wide spectrum of topics over the course of his career, including
power markets, utility business models, renewables, storage, and climate impacts. Prior to Latitude Media, Stephen was editor-in-chief of Greentech Media, where he ran the editorial team. Before that, he was an editor at Climate Progress, where he covered climate science, policy, and risk.
